Today is a big day for my college bowl game picks. I’m 2-4 overall and underdogs are 5-1. The strangest stat is that in every bowl game the school that is located further to the west has lost.
University of Central Florida-Rutgers(New Jersey)
Fresno State(California)-Wyoming
Southern Mississippi-Middle Tennessee State
Oregon State-Brigham Young University (Utah)
California-Utah
Nevada-Southern Methodist University (Texas)
What does it mean? Nothing probably. At least I hope it means nothing when it comes to tonight’s Emerald Bowl.
I’m on the favorites again. They’ve gotta come through at some point.
My winners are in bold type.
Little Caesars Bowl
Marshall +3 against Ohio
Meineke Car Care Bowl
North Carolina +2.5 against Pittsburgh
Emerald Bowl
Boston College +7.5 against USC
Ohio plays good defense, the Big East is better than the ACC, and USC is going out on a high note. I really believe the first two but I’m shaky on the third. The Trojan defense gave up over 20 points in five of the last seven games. They allowed over 30 in three of those games. Then there’s the Joe McKnight SUV distraction and the suspension of three players. My pick of SC says more about what I think of Boston College than how much I trust Southern California.
