There have been three days of college bowl game action and I’ve learned two things so far: Underdogs are the shiznit and the Pac-10 is no match for the Mountain West conference. The dogs are off to a 4-1 start. BYU hammered Oregon St. 44-20 and last night the Utah Utes handled the Cal Bears 37-27. Impressive start for the West Coast.

Here’s my pick for tonight’s game. My winner is in bold type.

SMU +11.5 against Nevada

I’m right back on the favorites.. And somebody please tell ESPN their selling point for the game of June Jones returning to the island as head coach of SMU is lame. Talk about Nevada’s offense. Talk about SMU’s death penalty back in the day. But don’t try to sell me on a guy that once argued with Jeff George on the sideline and ripped Tim Tebow.
