The Boston Celtics dealt Kendrick Perkins and Nate Robinson to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Jeff Green and Nenad Kristic in a busy close to the 2011 NBA trade deadline. The move is curious for Boston who gives up part of their size advantage and is left dependent upon the banged up Shaquille O’Neal and Jermaine O’Neal.

Amar’e Stoudemire lit up the Internet yesterday when he said he was “the new Reggie White” and “I’m going 2 Israel 2 study Hebrew. It’s time 2 get a better understanding on who we R.” Call me skeptical but I thought Stoudemire was trying to suck up to the world’s largest Jewish community outside of Israel. What better way to show a new fan base that you’re just like them than to embrace their culture. Next we’ll see David Lee on a bus in East Oakland claiming he’s black (Which I don’t recommend unless he’s rolling with EBM). Amar’e used @Amareisreal earlier today to straighten out why he’s in Israel and what he’s studying. Good for him, whatever his intentions are.

It’s very possible Stoudemire has Hebrew ties. Most African-Americans are mixed and whether it’s with Native Americans, Europeans or anybody else, you can’t tell just by looking at the person. Or his mom. Ask Charles Barkley and Snoop Dogg.

Daniel Tosh has become Comedy Central’s top-rated show host by adding hilarious, slightly racist and completely insensitive comments to Internet videos on his show Tosh.0. If you belong to a group -race, creed, ethnicity, team, state, country, etc.- Tosh has clowned you. And for that, he’s hated.

On his latest show, Tosh wanted to find out who Twitter hates more: @danieltosh or @kingjames? There’s no question who the winner (loser??) would be if all the tweets came from Cleveland. They want nothing to do with anything associated with James. But Daniel read tweets from everywhere and got more NSFW hate than LeBron.

DeMar DeRozan played one year of college basketball at USC, leading the team to the 2009 PAC-10 Tournament title, before taking his talents to Toronto and the NBA. One year was long enough for DeRozan to build a hatred for anything that has to do with cross-town rival UCLA. DeRozan worked out on the Bruins campus Tuesday and took to Twitter (@DeMar_DeRozan) immediately afterward to show his cardinal and gold pride.

LeBron James spent the last week supposedly agonizing over his decision to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Miami Heat. When the smoke cleared James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh had done nothing but jerk around the media, fans and all suitors other than Pat Riley’s squad. There’s no way LeBron woke up Thursday morning and figured out for the first time that he was going to Miami. If so you wouldn’t be able to buy LeBron James Miami Heat gear already.

LeBron flew to Miami after his announcement press conference with Jim Gray and said via @KingJames that he’s starting the road to history. He’s 100 percent right. He’s speeding down the “Most hated person in Ohio history” highway.

LeBron James ended years of speculation Thursday night when he announced he’s leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers to join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh on the Miami Heat. When discussing the most hated people in Ohio the list now starts with either Art Modell or LeBron.

The reaction in Miami was obviously the exact opposite of how Cleveland handled the news. Dwyane Wade responded to James’ announcement via Twitter where he welcomed @ChrisBosh and @KingJames to their city.

When I heard Chicago White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen joined Twitter I thought he would drop tweets in the same off-the-cuff manner that he uses with reporters after a game. I was wrong. @OzzieGuillen started with tame tweets like “what I saw on the field today was a lot of grass…” and “3 day of Spring Training and im already boreddddddd.” Ozzie moved to cracking on Harold Reynolds, pay-for tweeting shout-outs and discussing political issues in Venezuela but he never erupted. And now Guillen might be done with Twitter altogether.

There you have it. According to Ozzie Guillen Twitter is like the the third day of spring training: boring. I’m holding out hope for a Jay Mariotti diss before Ozzie calls it quits.

Stephen A. Smith tried to break the mega-story of the 2010 NBA free agency period when he reported that Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh were all set to sign with the Miami Heat. If the three planned to hook up in Miami the deal looks to be dead now. The Heat could still land Wade and Bosh although reports have D-Wade giving serious consideration to Chicago.

So Stephen A.’s original report was wrong. He swung for the fences and struck out. Screamin’ is now reporting on his website that the deal blew up because Bosh wants max-money. It’s believable but The Sports Guy Bill Simmons isn’t buying Smith’s story. Simmons took to Twitter to call out Stephen A. for floating the original story and now the excuse.

The second oldest trick in the book is picking the fruit that’s only a few inches above the ground. The third oldest is posting about one guy with an over-inflated sense of his place in the sports world ripping another guy with an equally over-inflated sense of his place in the sports world. In the end we’re all just trying to eat.

Earlier today I tried to sign-in to Twitter but I got rejected by the Twitter is over capacity page. You would think the people behind such a groundbreaking idea could do better than hiring a few birds to carry their whale around. Same goes for Glen “Big Baby” Davis of the Boston Celtics.

The Boston Celtics lead the Orlando Magic and Eastern Conference Finals 2-0 after smothering the defending Conference champions twice on their home floor. I’m not saying the series is over but Orlando should start dusting off their fishing gear.

One person willing to say the series is over is whoever hacked Paul Pierce’s Twitter account. The friend hacker posted “Anybody got a BROOM?” on Pierce’s verified page, leading to Dwight Howard responding to the fake tweet.

Paul Pierce sent this real tweet acknowledging that the series is only halfway done:

Reporters at Dwight Howard’s postgame press conference asked him about Pierce’s comments without knowing that Paul’s Twitter account had been hacked. Howard sounded depressed but tried to keep a positive tone.
