Super Bowl XLV will be played at Cowboys Stadium, giving the Dallas Cowboys extra motivation to end their 16-year championship drought. No team has ever hosted and played in the Super Bowl. That didn’t stop Cowboys QB Tony Romo from telling the crowd at Dallas’ 2010 Training Camp Kick-Off Party in San Antonio that the team will see them at the big game in February. One playoff win does wonders for the confidence.

TMZ gets the assist for this video of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo playing basketball in a Plano, Texas adult recreational league. The tape has been edited down to Romo highlights to show two and ones, a forced turnover, and an assist.

First it was soccer, now it’s basketball for Romo. There’s no way the Cowboys are happy about their franchise quarterback doing either and risking injury. On the other hand they’re just happy he’s not Ben Roethlisberger.

Tony Romo should be at home blowing up Jessica Simpson’s cell phone with voicemails and text messages begging her to come back. That way their relationship could deflect some of the heat Romo’s taking for his on the field performance. Tony looked great against Tampa Bay in the first game of the season but his play has slipped and the Cowboys stand at 2-2 at the quarter mark.

Since it’s always smart to give up on something early on fans of Romo and the Cowboys are honoring him like Bears fans honored Cutler and Bengals fans honored Ochocinco.. By burning his jersey.

I hate to nick off of Jeff Foxworthy’s bit BUT.. If you would rather burn a Romo jersey than play football with your young son, you are without a doubt a Cowboys fan. I wonder what the fan is gonna burn when he finds out Tony Romo didn’t know how many downs were left in the Broncos game.

Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson joined Tiger Woods in Washington D.C. at the AT&T National Golf Tournament. Tony and Tiger teamed up on the links and Jess was there to sing the National Anthem.

Call me crazy but I didn’t think Jessica sounded bad. Some people disagree. After Ms. Simpson-Romo finished the Anthem Tony took a trip to the beach.

Tony Romo likes to pick up his golf clubs during the offseason and play on any golf course he can find. He’s played with Michael Jordan and Justin Timberlake, and he’s been ripped by golf legend Lee Trevino.

While Romo is a decent golfer his game isn’t quite ready for the big stage. Yesterday it wasn’t good enough for a pitch and putt.

Thanks to the Dallas Morning News we know that Romo played the back nine like he was under center in a playoff game.

After an even-par front nine under rainy conditions early, Romo shot a 44 on the back nine with bogeys at Nos. 11, 12, 14, 15 and 17 as the wind kicked up. He also had a triple-bogey on No. 16.

If Romo had qualified for the Open he would’ve had a small scheduling problem. The U.S. Open is at Bethpage June 18-20 and the Cowboys have a minicamp June 16-18. Now that he’s failed to make the Open for the second year in a row Tony won’t have to make a decision. Romo attempts to qualify for the Byron Nelson Championship later today.

The Dallas Cowboys made the only significant trade deadline move by acquiring wide receiver Roy Williams from the Detroit Lions for first, third, and sixth round picks in the 2009 draft. The trade wasn’t completely one-sided.. The Lions threw in a seventh round draft pick.

Williams is a good player, but I don’t think there’s a receiver in the league worth a first, third, and sixth round pick. Former Cowboy and current member of the NFL Network Deion Sanders didn’t like the trade for numerous reasons.

“Don’t like it one bit,” Sanders said. “First of all, it raises your eyebrows when a franchise gives up their best player, their best receiver. There’s a problem there. What’s the problem? I don’t understand. I’ve done my homework, checked on Roy. I don’t think Roy’s the hardest worker inside that Detroit Lion locker room that’s coming over here. Now, is he ready to play second fiddle? Because T.O. is the man in Dallas. Is he ready to do that? Is he losing speed? Can he get deep? What do they need?

“You give up a 1, a 3 and a 6 for Roy Williams when there’s a guy, Chad Johnson, who’s begging to get out of Cincinnati. I’m sure Cincinnati could accept a 1, 3 and 6….

“I smell panic, and there’s no need to panic at this time. Because this is still a good team, but I feel like Jason Garrett may have gone to Jerry Jones [and said], ‘You know what? We need another receiver.’ Tony Romo: ‘You know what? We need another receiver.’ Instead of understanding, well, Jason, they might have caught up to your offense from last year. Tony, get rid of the ball every once in a while. Let’s tell the truth to these guys. Let’s quit pacifying them.”

Deion blew up Roy Williams, Tony Romo, and offensive coordinator Jason Garrett on his way to saying he doesn’t like the deal. I agree with Primetime when he calls it a panic move. The Cowboys have enough serviceable wide receivers plus Jason Witten for the passing game to be fine. All Roy Williams adds to the team is another guy for Terrell Owens to be jealous of.

Quarterback Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys has a broken pinky on his right hand and is expected to miss four weeks with the injury but that’s the least of his concerns right now. The team is on the verge of imploding, but it’s something that Romo’s girlfriend Jessica Simpson said that should have him scared.

Jess has decided to apply some Arizona Cardinals like pressure to her man by telling Australia’s Daily Telegraph she’s ready for children. And a bunch at that.

Jessica is pretty much yelling “Hurry up and marry me Tony” since we know that daddy Joe Simpson isn’t letting his prize daughter get knocked up without being hitched. And six kids? Why not kick the extra point and have seven? I guess six makes sense though. Jessica Simpson’s career has turned out at least three times better than Britney Spears’ has. So if Brit can handle two kids with K-Fed as the daddy, Tony and Jessica ought to be able to take care of six.

Yesterday Pro Football Talk and the Star-Telegram wrote of Terrell Owens calling Keyshwan Johnson “SheShawn” while refuting reports of him heatedly discussing his role in the Cowboys’ offense with Tony Romo. TO’s comments were made during an interview with Inside the Huddle, and you can check out Owens in full spin mode below. Fast-forward to 2:55 to hear TO talk about ESPN, Keyshawn Johnson, and Cris Carter.

The only thing that could’ve made the interview better is if Terrell’s former publicist Kim Etheredge showed up gave her 2,500,000,000 cents on the situation. I’ll give TO credit for trying to put the fire out, but I’m sticking to my guns. This is the beginning of the end.

Terrell Owens of the Dallas Cowboys is starting to do in Dallas what he did in prior stops in San Francisco and Philadelphia. Beef with the quarterback.

Numerous sources claim that TO had more on his chest than we saw in his ballhogging post game press conference Sunday, and he let Tony Romo know.

Owens, despite having 18 passes thrown his way in the loss to Washington, had what was deemed a serious conversation about the offense with quarterback Tony Romo after the game, according to multiple sources.

The types of routes and throws are what concerns Owens, the sources said. . The receiver, who the sources said was venting to Romo about his frustrations, has not liked how some of the throws were coming from the quarterback as far back as the season opener.

And so it begins.. As a Philadelphia Eagles fan and former Terrell Owens excuse maker, I’ve seen this situation before. You see Cowboys fans, I was once where you are now. All of the TO haters were telling me how Terrell would eventually become a problem in Philly. I didn’t think it would happen. And when TO made comments about Donovan McNabb after the Super Bowl I wasn’t worried. I said Terrell would chillout during the off season, clear his head, and then show up at camp where he and D-Mac would work everything out. I wholeheartedly believed there was no way Terrell would want to mess up the situation he was in with a good team and quarterback. I was wrong. And you’re gonna be wrong too Cowboys fans. I recognize the body language, the eye rolling, and the passive aggressive post game interviews. The Cowboys’ organization better come up with a quick way to reel Terrell back in or else they’ll be canceling Christmas and the Super Bowl.

I didn’t see the Dallas Cowboys’ season opener against Cleveland, but I watched their other three games and saw signs of a TO meltdown marinating in each game. The Cowboys trailed the Eagles in the fourth quarter in week two and Owens, who had two TDs in the first half, was being shutdown. You could see on his face that he was pissed about not getting the ball. In Green Bay, Owens was held to two catches for 17 yards, and looked like he was ready to choke somebody when Tony Romo overthrew him near the end zone late in the game. And of course, we all know what happened after the loss to Washington.

Whether it’s San Francisco, Philadelphia, or Dallas, there’s always a quarterback doing something wrong to Terrell Owens. It’s never TO’s fault. All I can say is when Keyshawn Johnson is telling you to shut the hell up, you know you’re out of line. I kinda feel sorry for the Cowboys fans. At least the Eagles got a Super Bowl trip out of Owens. All you’ve guys have gotten is some crying.

Romo was looking for a 5-foot 8-inch woman in ’04, but he lowered his standards for the 5-foot 3-inch Simpson. I guess the blond hair is more important than the height. At least now we know why things didn’t work out between Tony Romo and Sophia Bush.
