Stephon Marbury was named the MVP of the Chinese Basketball Association’s All-Star game over the weekend after scoring 30 points and putting on a show on the offensive end of the court. The videos below show Marbury raining 3-pointers from deep and dropping dimes. Starbury doesn’t play any defense but neither is anybody else. The lack of D in these highlights make the NBA All-Star game look like the Heat-Knicks rivalry in the 90s. Read the full story

Stephon Marbury was named MVP of the Chinese Basketball Association’s All-Star game after scoring 30 points and leading the North to a 133-121 victory over the South. Marbury reportedly won the award because of his scoring, no-look and alley-oop passes and deep three-pointers. Looks like Steph’s trip to China paid-off. Read the full story

Basketball Ambassador Stephon Marbury and the Shanxi Zhongyu lost Starbury’s first game in the Chinese Basketball Association 102-101 in a game highlighted by its cheerleaders, and lowlighted by fans throwing bottles and lighters on the court. Cedric Simmons hit one of two free throws with five seconds left to give the visiting Dongguan Leopards a one-point lead. Shanxi inbounded the ball to Marbury following a timeout, but the NYPG passed instead of taking the game-winning shot. Read the full story

Stephon Marbury landed in China last week to a gang of Chinese media and fans that were excited to have the former NBA star playing in the Chinese Basketball Association. They were so happy to have Marbury in their country that they gave him a Twitter account. He hasn’t offended anybody yet but tweets like “To the friends who does not understand English, check out this” are classic.

Former NBA player Bonzi Wells took $80,000 to ball in China, lit it up for a few weeks, and then went on a a permanent vacation from the team and country. And he wasn’t eating vaseline on Youtube or behaving in a way that had people questioning his sanity.
Stephon Marbury signed with the Shanxi Zhongyu of the Chinese Basketball Association and should be able to put up decent numbers in a league that makes the European leagues look like prison ball. The fans and media came out to greet him when he landed in the Taiyuang Airport and everybody was smiling.. For now. Read the full story

Stephon Marbury seems to be doing all the things necessary to land back in the NBA next season. He’s showing up at a Knicks game and sitting in the wrong seats, and making more shirtless videos. Stephon Marbury is a man of his word. It’s been almost two weeks since he said he’d be at the Knicks home opener and sure enough he was there. And so was his video camera.
Marbury claims to be sitting out the NBA season to work on business ventures. So far he’s only been recording himself and putting the videos on Youtube. And they’re not the vaseline eating or crying videos we’ve come to expect from Starbury. Now he’s hanging out at a gas station or trying to bring attention to himself on an escalator at Madison Square Garden. Read the full story
