The New Orleans Saints are a perfect 6-0 to start the season after scoring 22 unanswered fourth quarter points for a 46-34 come from behind victory in Miami. New Orleans fell behind 24-3 in the first half, but cut the deficit to three on a double reverse capped off by a six-yard Reggie Bush leap for a touchdown.

If you’re making a call from jail after an attempted bank robbery, you’re probably not the criminal mastermind you imagined yourself to be. I’m sure the go in the bank, rob the bank, leave the bank, plan looked great on napkin, but things like cops and a foot chase can turn Lex Luthor into O.J. Simpson.

Meet Trammell Bledsoe. He and two other men tried to rob the Lafayette Ambassador Bank in Emmaus, Pennsylvania. After being arrested, Bledsoe placed a few calls to a buddy.. Knowing his calls could be monitored, he tried to slangbang on the phone.

Prosecutors listened to the calls, which were recorded, and heard Bledsoe telling Burton to go to a certain location and look for the ”Reggie Bush.”

Bush, a member of the New Orleans Saints, wears No. 25, which prosecutors say was an ”obvious reference” to the .25-caliber gun Bledsoe allegedly used in the robbery.

Bledsoe was later heard telling Burton to look for the ”Reggie Bush” under cars parked between ”Reggie Miller” and ”Patrick Ewing.”

Miller wore No. 31 and Ewing No. 33, and prosecutors say they were code for the site where Bledsoe was arrested near 31st and 33rd streets in Emmaus.

Bledsoe and his homey also used Chris Webber to refer to $4000 and Michael Jordan to refer to a .45. Did these guys really think this was gonna work? The cops were gonna be baffled by “the Reggie Bush”? Damn. I can’t believe they could pull of the actual robbery attempt with this simple minded thinking.

• gave Kim $100 to fill up her Range Rover.
• asked Kim for $100.
• is getting Kim Kardashian to run a name for him.
• just finished washing her windshield.
• is the kush hook-up.
• is selling his new cd.

Who the hell knows? Maybe they just wanted to meet up and do the E.T. phone home thing or maybe the question was ‘Which one of us is more overrated?’.

Former USC Trojan and current New Orleans Saint Reggie Bush is in lukewarm water. He’s currently being investigated by the NCAA to see if Bush and his family received improper benefits. If the allegations turn out to be true, USC may have to give up it’s 2004 championship and Reggie could lose his 2005 Heisman. The new book, Tarnished Heisman: Did Reggie Bush Turn His Final College Season Into a Six-Figure Job?, plans to do for Reggie Bush what Game of Shadows did for Barry Bonds.. That’s not good for Reggie.

A number of former Heisman winners were asked for their opinions on Reggie Bush’s situation. Most of the cats seem to side with Bush..

Ty Detmer, 1990 winner, Brigham Young:

“You’ve got to get all the facts before you rush to judgment. Now if it was the kid’s parents taking things and he really had no control over that, he still had to play on the field and do all those things. You can’t fault a kid for what his parents do. So we should wait to get all the facts on it. If it turns out to be something else, then you make a judgment off of those facts.”

Mike Rozier, 1983 winner, Nebraska:

“As far as what he’s doing now, I think he’s doing a hell of a job in the NFL. I don’t know anything about the other incident, but I do know that he didn’t tarnish anything.”

I’m gonna have to see the commercial, but the Bush/Becks mash-up is off to a slow start in my book. The comraderie seems forced and Beckham’s leprechaun voice is irritating. The two things I did take away from this video, 1) David Beckham makes Reggie Bush look like Earl Campbell, and 2) Women will enjoy the commercial more than men.
