Illfonic is a Denver-based video game company co-founded by Raphael Saddiq of Tony!Toni!Tone! fame. Their first title is “Ghetto Golf” which is described as “Billy Madison” meets “Friday.” They don’t have a publisher for the game yet but they’ve still managed to get some good, unintentional press.

The Illfonic office is located next door to a medical marijuana store. A couple of nights ago the weed shop’s burglar alarm sounded and the police responded. Unfortunately they went to the wrong address and ended up mistakenly removing the Illfonic team from their office at gunpoint. The video and “Ghetto Golf” screenshots are below.

Turns out it was a false alarm in the marijuana store so the cops didn’t completely screw-up. Here are a few screenshots of “Ghetto Golf”:

Former Michigan basketball player Dommanic Ingerson should’ve told Oakland police he was playing Ghetto Golf and lost his ball in Lake Merritt. It wouldn’t explain why he emerged from the water naked, but it might have provided him with an alibi.

While Tiger Woods is “circling the wagons” and figuring out how to handle his now public domestic dispute with his wife and subsequent car accident the Windermere police are waiting to talk to him. So far the cops have offered a couple of statements to the media and Windermere police chief Daniel Saylor says some parts of the Woods’ story are unusual.

When the dust settles Tiger’s gonna come out and say that he and Elin had a fight as couples tend to do but things are fine and he’s not cheating with Rachel Uchitel. Which will be mostly true because we’ll never know the whole story.

Police detained former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson at the Los Angeles International Airport on the suspicion that he got rough with a paparazzi. I say good for Mike Tyson. A lot of people think he’s fat and washed up but this proves he can still take out guys that run around snapping pics of celebs for a living.

O.J. Simpson goes on trial for kidnapping and armed robbery today in Las Vegas, so he had a run-in with the law on Sunday to get him warmed up for court. Simpson was driving on I-15 in Vegas when he was pulled over by the Nevada Highway Patrol. At first I thought O.J. was trying to flee the state but it turns out somebody reported him for drunken driving.

Simpson, whom NHP officials said was not intoxicated, was not cited or arrested. He was pulled over somewhere between Jean and Las Vegas while he was traveling north on I-15, NHP Trooper Kevin Honea said.

“The guy was just driving. He did absolutely nothing wrong,” Honea said. “We owe it to the safety of the public to check these things out.”

O.J. Simpson was involved with the police and cleared of any wrongdoing? There’s a first time for everything. He’s not gonna be as lucky during the trial.

Just last week boxing champ Kelly Pavlik filed a police report in a suburb of Youngstown, Ohio claiming that somebody had made threats against him. Kelly claimed a former sponsor was upset over money and was going to do something about it.. Like shoot Kelly in the hands so he couldn’t box anymore.

The police don’t think there’s much to the story and have decided to close the case.

Police have closed an investigation without making an arrest into WBC and WBO middleweight boxing champion Kelly Pavlik’s complaint that a former sponsor threatened to shoot his hands so he couldn’t fight again.

Boardman detective Steve Riwniak said the case was considered closed but could be reopened if there are any additional leads.

I hate to tell the Boardman Township police how to do their job but apparently somebody has to. Youngstown, Ohio is no joke of a city. Crime, organized or otherwise, is a major problem for the area. If somebody is threatening one of the positive aspects of the town, err on the side of caution.. Get Kelly Pavlik some bulletproof gloves.
