Los Angeles Lakers center Pau Gasol is spending his summer vacation playing ambassador for the NBA. Spain’s national team is struggling in the FIBA World Championship while Gasol’s in India shaking hands, holding clinics and teabagging kids with his dunks. No joke, I didn’t know he could jump that high.

Even better than the seven-foot Gasol jumping over a kid is said kid wearing a Starbury t-shirt. From Slam:

Gasol again turned into a quiet crowd-pleaser in Delhi, speaking softly and letting his skills do the talking. He worked with the kids on dribbling drills, showed off his pivot, Hakeem-esque fadeaway, and of course, did a variety of dunks at the DPS basketball court, including doing a “jumpman” style dunk over a hapless kid in a ‘Starbury’ t-shirt!

The 2010 NBA Draft Lottery could’ve been called the John Wall Sweepstakes because the Kentucky freshman guard was the only player that seemed to get mentioned. The lottery came down to a final three of New Jersey, Philadelphia and Washington but ESPN went to commercial break before announcing the final order. Oh the drama.. The cameras cut to Wall watching the lottery in Beverly Hills and caught him saying “Nah, not Philly” as ESPN headed to break.

It’s possible that Wall was asked “Who you think got No. 1? Philly?” and then responded “Nah, not Philly.” Being a Sixers fan that’s bitter the team didn’t get the top pick I feel the question was “You wanna go to Philly?” and then “Nah, not Philly.” That’s cool John. Just make sure to pack your bulletproof vest for that dangerous Wizards locker room.

Tiger Woods is two shots back of leaders Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood after two days at the 2010 Masters. So far his “comeback” has gone as well as Woods could have hoped. Sure there’s been aerial heckling and endless Nike commercial parodies but the crowd gallery patrons at Augusta National have supported Tiger since his first tee shot. On Friday the love continued and a little girl showed her appreciation for Tiger by giving him a card.. Or slipping him her number for 15-20 years down the road.

The crowd at Augusta National gave Tiger Woods their roaring support after his first tee shot at the 2010 Masters although not everybody was there to support him. A plane is circling the skies above the tournament carrying a sign that reads “Tiger did you mean bootyism?”, an obvious play on Woods’ Buddhist beliefs.. And a huge waste of money. The millionaire that had an airplane flying around calling out Reggie Miller for hitting on his fiancee thinks this was a dumb idea.

LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers lost to the Boston Celtics 117-113 at the TD Garden on Easter Sunday. James pulled up for a game-winning 3-pointer with three seconds left in the game but the shot sailed to the left. It’s all good though. The Lakers lost, securing homecourt throughout the playoffs for Cleveland, and LeBron kicked it with Dr. Dre at Fenway Park for opening night. You’ll notice LeBron isn’t wearing an NY hat at the Yankees-Sox game. That means he’s staying in Cleveland…

Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine talked to Heidi Watney and took batting practice before the game. Get ready for “Under Pressure” by Dr. Dre featuring Jay Z:

Mississippi State fans prepared for Tuesday’s game against the Kentucky Wildcats by calling and text messaging Kentucky’s DeMarcus Cousins. He was hit with everything from n-bombs to sex offers. How the MSU fans got Cousins’ number is unknown but they posted it on the Internet and it was a wrap from there.

Cousins said he wasn’t going to change his number until after the game so he could hear what the Bulldog fans had to say about the outcome. The calls won’t be any better (if they’re made at all) because DeMarcus scored 19 points and had 14 boards in Kentucky’s 81-75 OT win. Cousins mocked The Hump faithful after a first half dunk by making the “call me” gesture.

Six days ago Twitter spread the word about Los Angeles Lakers guard Sasha Vujacic dating Maria Sharapova. The sources were Darren Rovell and Matt Cronin so you had to figure the story was solid. Thanks to Sports by Brooks we now have visual proof of the relationship.

Sasha Vujacic must eat rabbit’s feet for breakfast and snort four leaf clovers. He’s got a championship ring and pulled Sharapova while a guy like Charles Barkley is ring-less and speeding through Arizona in hopes of getting some brain. The Lakers will repeat if Sasha stays hot and he won’t have to do a thing on the court.

The Philadelphia Eagles did their part in the Philly-New York war with a 40-17 victory over the New York Giants. Big Blue got on the board late in the first half to make the score 16-7, but the Eagles scored two touchdowns in the final two minutes for a 30-7 halftime lead. One of those two touchdowns was a McNabb-to-Jackson 54-yard connection. DeSean Jackson‘s moves were so tight he made a referee fall over the 18-yard line, right before chest bumping Eagles coach Andy Reid.

Andy Reid looks like he’s bracing himself to be hit by a truck. Not what I would expect since Reid made a joke about Jackson’s size last year when DeSean chest bumped Reid.
