This past Saturday night was a bad time to piss people off if you were youth softball umpire David Ray Kelly or Suge Knight. Kelly was involved in a heated argument during a 10-year-old girl’s league softball tournament in Tennessee, and Knight argued with some men inside and outside of a Hollywood, Ca. nightclub. Both men ended up on the losing side of their disputes.

I’m a big fan of HBO’s The Wire. If you’ve never seen it, don’t try picking it up now during the 5th and final season.. Rent seasons 1-4 on dvd, and be prepared for a show that’s 10 times better than The Sopranos. The stories and subplots are suprisingly deep, and the way the different facets of a failing city (government, schools, drugs, media) are covered is unlike anything ever done on television.

Whether you’re a fan of The Wire or not, tell me I’m not dead on with these NBA-Wire look-a-likes.

Venus Williams graduated from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale about 2 weeks ago, but as you all know, a graduation isn’t official without a party. Venus attended the celebration with her sister Serena Williams and boyfriend/golfer Hank Kuehne. Venus and H.K. have been together for awhile so there wasn’t a guess who’s coming to the graduation party moment.. Although, I could see Richard Williams being pissed off about Venus dating Hank Kuehne.. Richard didn’t raise his strong, black daughter to be getting milked by guys that can barely crack 8gs on the Nationwide Tour.
