Michael Vick’s return to the NFL has been less than spectacular so far. He’s 0-2 passing and he’s rushed one time for seven yards. He’s only played in one game due to a two-game suspension and the Eagles’ early bye-week. Donovan McNabb’s back in the starting line-up meaning Mike will be stuck in the wildcat.
Vick has expressed a desire to get on the field as a starting quarterback but he can’t impress any GMs as Philly’s third-stringer. There’s enough bad quarterback play in the league for somebody to make Michael their starter next season, but if there isn’t any interest there’s one league that will welcome him with open arms. Before being sentenced to prison on Monday, Michael Vick attempted his last hail mary for the next few years. Michael wrote a letter to Judge Henry Hudson with hopes of garnering some leniency from the court. As we all know now, it didn’t work, but it was a nice try.. Right down to recruiting Hank Aaron, George Foreman, Warrick Dunn, his mom, and some children to write letters.
We already knew that DeAngelo Hall and Bobby Petrino wouldn’t be exchanging gifts for Christmas. The two men disliked each other equally, and Hall more than Petrino, had no problem letting it be known.
Forget the bitterness between the two men, DeAngelo Hall is right for ripping Bobby Petrino. Not only did he bail before the end of the season, it’s his first season. How about seeing it through to the end?..Of the year.. Jeezus Petrino. You’re gonna make David Stern institute a policy that requires coaches to spend an entire year in the NFL before they bolt for college.. And look, yes the Atlanta Falcons lost Michael Vick and the qb position is in shambles, but being a part of a team means sticking together through thick and thin. I know adjusting to the pro game was hard for Baby Petrino, but so what?!? If Cam Cameron hasn’t quit on the 0-13 Dolphins, Petrino could’ve at least gone to the end of the season with the Falcons.
