Alex Rodriguez of the New York Yankees and former wife Cynthia finalized their divorce about two weeks ago and depending on who you believe, A-Rod hasn’t wasted any time getting back on the dating scene.

Depending on which celebrity gossip site you choose to believe Alex Rodriguez did or did not have dinner with Madonna on September 30.

Madonna and New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez took in a cozy dinner for two at Dos Caminos Third Avenue on Tuesday a source told Usmagazine.com.

They pair ate at an alcove-like table in the back.

“They seemed very close,” a source told Usmagazine.com.

Madonna did not step out to dine with New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez, despite a report in Us Weekly, a source close to the singer told Access.

On Thursday, Us Weekly claimed the two had a “cozy dinner for two at Dos Caminos third Avenue,” according to a source.

The two reportedly ate at the back of the restaurant and “seemed very close,” the source claimed in the magazine.

But, a source close to the star told Access Hollywood that the story is false.

“They did not have dinner,” the source said.

This is a tough call. On the one hand we know Alex and Madonna are tight. Even A-Rod’s ex-wife acknowledged that the two had something between them. On the flip side, the media loves dragging Rodriguez through the mud. Somebody could have easily made up this story for the quick publicity. My verdict? I believe it. It sounds exactly like Alex Rodriguez to me.

A-Rod has been blessed with the skills and talent of the greatest baseball player of all-time, but he’s carrying a curse that won’t let him win over his teammates or fans. The latest stories have Alex linked to Madonna and his wife Cynthia in Paris with Lenny Kravitz.

Cynthia Rodriguez’ mother denied that her daughter was out of the country, but Lenny Kravitz has spoken and said that it’s true.

“There is absolutely no affair between Cynthia Rodriguez and myself. This is unequivocally 100% not true.

“Cynthia is a friend and is here with the godfather of her baby, who is also Alex’s trainer, his wife and their baby girl.”

“She came here to escape from everything happening in New York City. I opened my home to her as a friend and I find it extremely hurtful that I am now being referred to as an adulterer.”

See, there’s nothing happening here. Lenny Kravitz says so.. Whether he’s to be believed is an all together different story. I’d like to believe him but it’s not like he’d come out and say “yeah I’m banging the dude’s wife.” All I know is if I was having problems with my spouse and she ran off to Paris with Lenny Kravitz or any rich, earthy type of dude, I wouldn’t be making any anniversary plans.
