Quentin Richardson’s contract is up at the end of the season, and now that Z-Bo’s $33 mil is gone the Clips could be players in the 2010 free agent sweepstakes. At the same time, these are the Clippers we’re talking about. They’ll have this screwed up Christmas.

The mock drafts have Blake Griffin going first overall. Too bad for him. Things don’t go well for people once they put on the red, white, and blue of the Clippers. Danny Manning was plagued by knee injuries, Olowokandi washed out of the league, and I don’t want to think about what happened to Shaun Livingston.

Good luck to young Mr. Griffin. He’s gonna need it.

Gilbert Arenas of the Washington Wizards speaks his mind freely but his latest comments are sitting well with some of his co-workers. Agent Zero says he’s a Republican by circumstance although he doesn’t vote. If he was voting it wouldn’t be for Barack Obama since he plans to raise taxes for the rich. Baron Davis tells Gilbert Arenas to get with the program via YardBarker.

(I know he said he’s gonna raise the taxes on the top income bracket, Gil, but if he uses that money to improve our schools then you won’t have to worry about some kids trying to sell pictures of your pool online cause they couldn’t get a better job.) LOL

Gilbert Arenas is a free-spirit so it’s doubtful that anybody, including Baron Davis, is gonna change his mind. I’m just glad to see that the athletes are taking an interest in politics instead of giving the standard “no comment” we’ve become accustom to over the years.

Baron Davis has answered this aspiring singer-songwriter’s prayers by signing with the Los Angeles Clippers. The deal is reportedly five years for $65 million dollars. BD made the right choice. The Golden State Warriors were fun to watch even if they weren’t ever going to get over the hump with their current roster. Baron’s not gonna win a championship with the Clippers either, but at least he’s home and his pockets are full. Hopefully the L.A. Clipper curse doesn’t grab a hold of him and his numerous injuries.

Damn it’s nice to be a rich ballplayer. If you’re depressed about another Los Angeles Clippers losing season all you have to do is order a fight, and invite a house load of chicks over. I’m sure Cuttino Mobley would’ve preferred that the Clippers made the playoffs, but he doesn’t look to upset with the way things turned out. I hope Cat gets credit for starting the Urban Nautical look.

I think I’m starting to understand Smush Parker’s problem with the female valet. In Smush’s world, groping is not only a sign of affection, it’s a form of payment. By my count, he broke the ladies in this video off about five gs. If I was Donald Sterling I’d have security close by any time Smush is near the Clippers cheerleaders.
