Kanye West reached legendary status Sunday night when he interrupted Taylor Swift’s VMA acceptance speech. He officially became the biggest jackass of this generation, this decade, and his interruption has given YouTubers plenty of material.

Kobe Bryant told the kids at his basketball camp they weren’t gonna dunk on him at his event after the word broke that Jordan Crawford dunked on LeBron James at the LeBron James Skills Academy. It’s doubtful that any of the kids in attendance could dunk, but Kobe kept his word. KB24 is in the Philippines as a part of his Asian tour and he gave one lucky fan the opportunity not to dunk on him one-on-one. Read the full story

It’s going on a week since Nike confiscated the tapes featuring college player Jordan Crawford dunking on LeBron James at the LeBron James Skills Academy. At some point Nike will stop acting like jackasses and release the video. Until then, The King and Ni(ke) will serve as the butt of jokes. The latest person to have fun with LeBron getting dunked on is fellow Nike pitchman Kobe Bryant. The Mamba hosted his basketball camp, but let the attendees know there will be no dunking on number 24. Read the full story

The Keyboard Cat is the latest fad on the Web, and it features some sort of accident or bad luck for a person followed by the Keyboard Cat playing them off. If you go on YouTube and search KeyBoard Cat you’ll find him playing off the little girl that got kicked by a breakdancer, Miss South Carolina, Tony Romo, and Joe Theisman’s leg.

The Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers have a Game 7 showdown looming, and Ron Artest and Kobe Bryant both spoke about the matchup. Artest says they know Kobe’s gonna come out and fire up shots. Bryant believes there’s a lot of pressure of the Lakers. Read the full story

What up everybody, my name is Will R. and I’ll be contributing some sports analysis and thoughts here on YouBeenBlinded.Com. Quick background: I’m a lifelong sports fan with my biggest pleasure being the NBA and I live in Los Angeles. The curveball is that I’m a Clippers fan with very little love for the more popular team across the hall. I’ve written and conducted interviews for rap websites, magazines and newspapers and look forward to being a part of the YouBeenBlinded team.
With that out of the way, I got to get in on the big water cooler discussion of the young season and drop some context to the fervor around some of the recent happenings in the NBA. We all know people tend to overrate things that happen now, the whole ‘what have you done for me lately’ type of thinking where the most recent amazing performance is inevitably called the greatest ever.
This last Super Bowl is a prime example of that and now two of basketball’s biggest stars have started their own hurricane of hype. Anytime the question of Kobe vs. LeBron comes up, there’s bound to be fireworks and both parties have done their best to resolve the argument in the last week. But despite the glamour that comes with a ton of points, Kobe came up on the short end in this particular contest. Read the full story
