If you youngins don’t know, Derrick Coleman could have been the greatest power forward in the history of the NBA. He had low post game, a nice shot from outside, and could rebound like a monster… When he felt the urge. The problem with D.C. is that he didn’t care. If his business ethic is anything like his NBA work ethic, Coleman has just started a doomed venture.

Former NBA star Derrick Coleman opened the “SNYX Sneaker Studio” Saturday in the neighborhood in which he grew up. The store carries all Nike merchandise, including warm-ups and top-of-the-line athletic sneakers. Shoes range in price from $75 to $280.

In addition to the “SNYX Sneaker Studio,” Coleman plans to develop a strip mall, which will include a “Hungry Howies,” a car wash, a barber shop, a laundry, and a bill-paying center.

The SNYX Sneaker Studio sounds like a great place to work. Can you think of a cooler boss than Derrick Coleman? He doesn’t like training, meetings, or dress codes. As long as you show up and pick up your check, it’s all good.

If gambling was abolished, do you know who would suffer the most? The NFL and the NBA referees. Regardless of the NFL’s official stance on wagering, the reason the league is so popular is because of the violence, gambling, and video games. Just when you think it can’t get any worse better Ron-Ron goes and drops a new video. This isn’t of the rapping, or dog neglecting ilk… Artest is talking about the infamous brawl.

Some of my favorite quotes:

• Detroit is a gangster arena.
• I definitely shoulda got a pass on that one… you know, when I went in the stands.
• What Ben did was disrespectful.. If I’da known that the referees would of handled was gonna handle it how they did like as far as not handling the situation at all then I woulda probably fought.
• The owner of Detroit, he’s a.. he’s a trip.
• I lay on tables a lot. I lay on my bench in my neighborhood and nobody throws cups of beer and rocks at me.

Ron Artest is classic. I do agree that Ben Wallace got the ball rolling that evening, BUT.. Ron saying he deserves a pass is hilarious. What’s next? Charles Manson saying “the incident” was taken out of context?

If you’re like me.. That sucks.. But it also means you can’t get enough Ron Artest…
