The Dallas Cowboys dropped their first game of the season so it’s naturally time for panic in Big D. A loss to the Chicago Bears in the home opener and not only does the fire Wade Phillips talk start, but so do mass suicides in the DFW area. Cowboys rookie wide reciever Dez Bryant is doing his part to prevent both. With Dallas trailing 3-0 in the first quarter Bryant fielded a punt and returned it 62 yards for the touchdown. This is why Jerry Jones and the Cowboys said baggage be damned and drafted him.

The Dallas Cowboys stomped the Philadelphia Eagles 34-14 to win their first playoff game since 1996. As you would imagine the players were pumped up and talking trash in the locker room after the game. Marty B TV captured the celebration on video and slapped it on Youtube.

I can’t tell if tight end John Phillips is a football player or a Jersey Shore cast member. Sam Hurd “ate Eagle?” That’s where he must have been because his name isn’t anywhere to be found on the stat sheet.

This next video is less exciting. Notice Martellus doesn’t go near Tony Romo or Miles Austin.

You’ve got a lot to dance about if you’re a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Your team sits alone a top the NFC East, Jason Garrett decided to give Felix Jones the ball against the Raiders, and nobody has been trampled to death as a result of the new Cowboy Stadium party pass.

Everything’s good in Dallas for now but the real test is the month of December and the playoffs. The ‘Boys have looked Super Bowl contenders over the last few seasons only to fizzle out when it mattered most. Until the other shoe drops Cowboys fans are having sex at their new stadium, dancing to “I’m a Cowboy” and hoping Tony Romo doesn’t ruin another playoff run.

Dallas Cowboys tight end Martellus Bennett is probably better known for his Youtube work than his play on the field. Bennett’s caught four passes for 40 yards this season prompting some “Romo doesn’t look for Bennett” talk. Martellus joked about the situation at a charity event which should put the issue to rest..

When Martellus Bennett was at an event to raise diabetes awareness earlier in the week and joked before a little girl threw him a pass that, “I hope she’s not Tony Romo cause I won’t get the ball,” it raised awareness about the rapport between the two.

I’ll take any chance I get to rip the golden child Tony Romo but this is all on Bennett. Romo’s been spreading the ball around with Terrell Owens gone so it’s probably a case of Bennett not getting open instead of getting overlooked. Good thing he’s a decent blocker because he’s not performing as a receiver.

The new Cowboys Stadium has everything a football could want: Extremely overpriced food, women dancing in cages, and a crowded, standing room only Party Pass section. The only thing Jerry’s new crib didn’t have was sex. That’s “Didn’t have.”

A couple in Michael Irvin jerseys took to a Hall of Fame box level bathroom stall in the fourth quarter of the ‘Boys 21-7 victory over the Panthers. The Crazy 88s were filmed in action and if you’re not at work you can check out the video at Deadspin.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones crammed people into his billion dollar stadium any way he could in a successful attempt to set an all-time regular season attendance record in the NFL. One scheme scam ruse idea Jones had was the “Party Pass.” Fans were given standing room only access to the stadium for $29, and many feel they didn’t get their money’s worth.

Yeah that looks like fun. The only thing worse than a sausage-fest is a standing room only sausage-fest with a bunch of Cowboys fans. And good luck getting your spot back if you had to take a leak or grab something to eat.

The Dallas Morning News asked fans for their opinion of the Party Pass:

“I think it’s a good idea that needs adjustment. Most of the problems this time were from the huge crowds as a result of the once-in-lifetime event and Jerry’s record-setting desires. The total per game should be limited to much less than the 20,000 or so sold this time.”

“As a season ticket holder, I hated it. If you limited it to about 5,000-10,000 party passes then I might be OK with it, but there were people everywhere trying to sneak into seats and get into areas that are restricted to certain ticket holders. Many of the workers seemed to give up after about one quarter because they were sick of dealing with all the extra people and turning them away from areas that they were supposed to be restricting. ”

“Absolute Disaster. That’s it. Concession lines were way too long, bathrooms were overcrowded, it reminded me of the Superdome after Hurricane Katrina.”

I’m gonna assume the person that gave the last quote was really at the Superdome during Katrina, and then I’m gonna say he’s exaggerating. Was it bad? Looks like it. Were people pissing in cups rather than give up their spots? Quite possibly. But reminiscent of the Superdome during Katrina? Hardly. The people in the Superdome were victims. The folks that stood for the entire game in a packed space watching the ‘Boys on the big screen while earning Jerry Jones $600,000 are idiots.

The Dallas Cowboys‘ new stadium is sitting on a goldmine of natural gas although language in the contracts between the team and owners of the gas beneath the stadium prevent any drilling. Recent earthquakes in North Texas are believed to be caused by natural gas drilling. There are worries that drilling beneath Cowboys Stadium would cracks or sinking.

This is why Jerry Jones is a master businessman. When he bought the land for the stadium he allowed the owners of the land to retain mineral rights, meaning they had ownership of the natural gas beneath the stadium. But then J.J. has the contracts setup to prevent drilling. Too bad he can’t judge character as well as he negotiates.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones must’ve really been enjoying himself at the George Strait concert in the new Cowboys Stadium on Saturday because he told reporters he’s considering bringing back Pacman Jones.

“Would you beat me up too bad if I brought back Adam?”

The Cowboys’ owner said he is considering the move even though it’s a long shot.

The Cowboys might be hesitant to bring back Pacman Jones because it could stunt the progress of second-year cornerbacks Orlando Scandrick and Mike Jenkins.

The ‘Boys are only hesitant to bring Pacman back because he could slow down the development of two young players, not because trouble is his only follower on Twitter? Jerry was probably having fun with the media although he blames the Pacman-Bodyguard altercation on the bodyguard and says Jones rates as their best corner. Jerry Jones wants to sell tickets for his new stadium, but he doesn’t need Pacman to do it.

The Dallas Cowboys have parted ways with trouble-magnet Adam “Pacman” Jones after an ESPN report on Jones’ involvement in an Atlanta shooting. The allegations stem from a shooting outside of a strip club in 2007, and police say the case remains open even though they’re not investigating the incident anymore.

Jones spoke to the Dallas News’ Cowboys blog about being cut, and the chance of him filing a lawsuit against ESPN.

First Pacman reacted to being released:

Are you surprised?: “Surprised. Yeah, I was surprised. All I can do is keep working hard, keep my nose clean and hope for the best.”

Who told you?: “I got a phone call, just like you. I’m alright, I’m still here in Dallas. I will workout with Prime [Deion Sanders] and go from there.”

Did the fight you got into that caused you to get suspended for six games have anything to do with this?: “I don’t know. I got suspended for a couple of weeks, but I don’t want to talk about it.”

You sound like you’re taking this pretty good?: “If I beat myself up, who will take care of me. Football means a lot to me, but it’s not everything. It’s not like I’m taking it pretty good, I love me some me. I love Dallas. I want to stay here in Dallas.”

Did the fight mess you up?: Did you feel like you let people down? “Nothing to say about all of that. I will keep my head up. I love Dallas and still here in my house [in Prosper, Texas].”

Do you think you will get another shot with another team?: “We’ll see.”

After getting over the surprise of being dropped by the ‘Boys Pacman went into legal mode.

“It will be a lawsuit in a week against ESPN,” Jones said. “That’s stupid. It’s so stupid I have no more comments.”

I don’t know if the story is true or not. The dudes that got shot at in Atlanta might be trying to build on Pacman’s rep for talking to gunmen before shootings, or maybe they caught something through the grapevine. Either way, Pacman Jones has put in his last quarters for the NFL.

The 2008 season is hanging in the balance for the Dallas Cowboys. If the ‘Boys can weather the storm while Tony Romo’s out, get some help in the secondary, pacify TO, find Wade Phillips a pair, refresh Jason Garrett’s playbook, and get Jerry Jones to stay out of the way, they might be able to go 8-8.

The Cowboys traded for wide receiver Roy Williams to help beef up their offense. I don’t know how his acquisition makes Dallas get back to the run game or get Terrell Owens more involved, and I don’t think the Cowboys know either. Philadelphia Eagles president Joe Banner was asked his thoughts on the Williams deal and after basically saying Dallas overpaid he explained the difference between the two organizations.

Banner also said: “Our goal is to win a Super Bowl. Forget winning a playoff game, which is something they [the Cowboys] are still working on; our goal is to win a Super Bowl. You have to take your resources – your players, your draft picks, your salary-cap space – and you have to use those very effectively if you’re going to win Super Bowls.”

That’s great. And he’s right. The Philadelphia Eagles goal should be to win the Super Bowl. Especially since they haven’t won one in franchise history. Yeah, they got a few of those crappy NFL titles that nobody counts as championships but they don’t have a Lombardi Trophy. That’s always the neutralizer when us Eagles fans are arguing with fans of teams that have won a Super Bowl.
