Chris Rock seemed to get more air-time than Boston Celtic Ray Allen during Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Allen played only 27 minutes due to foul trouble while Rock could be seen courtside with David Spade, Adam Sandler, and Kevin James throughout the game. The quartet was there to promote their movie “Grown Ups” and Rock alone did a great job if his job was just to get people talking.

Kobe Bryant didn’t laugh or blink at any of Chris Rock’s jokes during a timeout, and Phil Jackson said synergy be damned when he cut in to a Doris Burke-Chris Rock interview/movie mention to tell them to cut it short.

Fast-Forward to :17 to hear Phil Jackson tell Doris Burke and Chris Rock that they’re “interrupting the game to plug a movie.”

The shot callers at Monday Night Football like the three-man booth and currently employ Tony Kornheiser as the third wheel on the broadcast. Since Kornheiser admits he doesn’t really care for football, and the viewers don’t really care for him, it’s time for MNF to get some new blood. How about Chris Rock?
