Michael Vick is counting down the days until his release from federal prison in Leavenworth, Kansas, and until he can return until the NFL. Even though he isn’t playing that doesn’t mean Michael Vick isn’t on the minds of NFL players.

Brian Urlacher of the Chicago Bears was asked about his team preparing to face the Lions’ Drew Stanton and said there’s only one QB that worries him.

“We don’t really care who’s their quarterback, no matter what team we play,” Urlacher said. “Unless it’s Michael Vick. Then we’ll be a little bit different. But other than that we’re good.”

Pause.

“I don’t think we’ll be seeing him for a while, either.”

Urlacher’s got jokes. What’s funnier is that Michael Vick could be back on the field in 2009 depending on the mood of NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Vick will have missed two seasons and served time so that should be penalty enough. Just ask Chris Rock:

The latest issue of ESPN the Magazine hits newsstands Friday and will feature Presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain in the 0.01 section going head-to-head in football uniforms. Obama is decked out in Chicago Bears gear while McCain wears the uniform of his home state Arizona Cardinals. Charles Gibson is going to referee the game although the McCain camp wanted the Bill O’Reilly-Sean Hannity crew and Barack’s side was hoping for Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews. Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Joe Biden should work on his broadcasting skills so he can do the highlights with Sarah Palin after the game.

So there you have it kids. If you’re running around dressed like a Dungeons&Dragons character and everybody’s clowning you, start lifting weights and playing football. You could wind up a stud linebacker and get a chance with Paris Hilton. Actually, you could probably hook-up with Paris Hilton either way.

This time around Kool-Aid Lite Vitamin Water rounded up Brian Urlacher, 50 Cent, Carrie Underwood, and Adrian Peterson at the Ironbound Recreation Center in New Jersey to do some boxing and possibly some sort of water related sport. When they weren’t filming the ad, 50 Cent used his free time to hit on Carrie Underwood.

50 was trying to put his bid in but it’s probably Urlacher that Underwood should look out for. As Young Lifestyle points out, #54 has a thing for blondes(Paris Hilton and Tara Reid), and he’s got plenty of time on his hands.

Hughes, who once played football for millions of dollars is currently a 19k a year hall monitor. He was hoping to flip hall monitoring into college football coaching via assistant coaching in high school, but his plan hit a snag when he lost his cellphone.

Student Clarence Winkfield said he found the phone lying in a hallway and later pawned it for $20 – but not before looking at two nude photos on the phone and making a few calls. It’s those calls that led Mr. Hughes to the teenager.

One of the two nude photos was Tyrone Hughes going Sean Salisbury, and the other was of a female. Possessing pornography on campus can be grounds for termination, but according to the grandma of the student that found the phone, Hughes made a death threat as well.

“He called a few minutes later and said, ‘Your grandson is a dead grandson,’ “. She began keeping Clarence and his sister, who also attends South Oak Cliff, out of school, fearing what the hall monitor might do.

If grandma’s claims are true, I don’t know what to say. Obviously Tyrone Hughes should be fired.. And some charges should be filed. I understand he didn’t want pictures of his junk floating around the high school, but he shouldn’t have threatened the teenager… He coulda just waited for him in the parking lot. Moron.
