Charles Barkley spent the first eight years of his professional career in Philly, lives there during the NBA offseason and remains a fan of the city’s teams, except for the Eagles. Barkley joined Ernie Johnson, Buck Martinez and David Wells in the announcer’s booth for a Sunday afternoon game between the Philadelphia Phillies and Colorado Rockies. Chuck spent a little time on baseball and a lot of time on everything else. His knack for saying something memorable combined with Boomer Wells and a rain delay led to some great television.

If you enjoy conversations where guys argue who’s fatter, talk about their nicknames and discuss the racial makeup of Ernie Johnson, this is the video for you. If you’re not a fan of any of those things, don’t worry, you will be.

Damn Charles loves “The Closer.” So much so that he wants it to air on any network. If I ran a sports channel I’d be trying to figure out a way to get Barkley and Wells to Mystery Science 3000 the highlights. That or throw them in the booth for MLS games and watch the league’s popularity takeoff.

Charles Barkley made his annual trip to the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship. He delighted the crowd with an unintentional spot-on Tiger Woods impersonation and said that a two-time MVP leaving to join other great players is “ridiculous.”

Barkley carried his golf clubs in a special edition bag loaned to him by Lance Armstrong and his foundation. Charles wasn’t impressed. After ripping his “sorry ass bag” Barkley joked about Armstrong’s poor performance at the Tour de France. Seems like the joke is on Chuck because he still had to play golf in front of a crowd.

The turribleness of Barkley’s golf game is well documented. Here’s Charles taking a couple of decent left-handed hacks. And I mean decent in comparison to his normal swing.

Since the NBA on TNT is on cable Charles Barkley apparently thinks anything goes when he’s on camera. Onetime he called a producer a pussy and nearly sent Reggie Miller into shock. Another time he flipped the bird at Ernie Johnson which surprised nobody. On Tuesday night Barkley was back to his on-air cussing ways. During the halftime “T-Mobile Questions for Chuck” segment two young ladies appeared on video and asked Charles if he preferred blondes or brunettes. Barkley didn’t want to answer the question but Ernie and Kenny kept pressing him. He finally responded with “Y’all are assholes around here.” You have to admit he has a way with words.

Life is good for Charles Barkley. He’s on a level where he can do or say anything he wants and the masses laugh it off because “that’s Barkley.” It’s beyond having F U money. Barry Bonds has a juiced up bank account, but angry mobs would call for the death penalty if he got drunk and rolled through a stop sign in pursuit of the best blow job ever. Barkley gets to cross the night from his bucket list.

The same rules apply for Charles on the NBA on TNT. He can call his producer a pussy or flip the bird at Ernie Johnson with no backlash.

Charles Barkley appeared on The George Lopez show to give Barkleyisms on current events including Harry Reid and stomach stapling. Chuck was also there to have his DNA tested to see how black (Sub-Saharan African) he is and if he’s more black than Snoop Dogg. Charles wins the contest by four percent, and he made a video as the Notorious DNA to rub it in the Dogg’s face.

Charles Barkley did his best to dress as Alicia Keyes in a warm-up bit for his Saturday Night Live appearance. The only thing uglier than the Chuckster’s golf swing is him in drag. I apologize to your eyes for posting this video.

That’s too she-male and muscular for even Alex Rodriguez.

Charles Barkley joined The Jay Leno Show to say the kinds of things he says whenever he’s interviewed. He talked about wanting to be an NBA GM, politics, and made a Magic-Isiah reference when he told Leno he was gonna write a book and say the reason he quit going on Jay’s show is because Jay called him gay.

Barkley also used the interview as time to rip Skip Bayless and Jay Mariotti again. I know two guys who won’t be at Chuck’s house for Thanksgiving..

Well there’s two guys I always hate: Skip Bayless and Jay Mariotti. They just idiots.

They don’t get the facts wrong, they just going to be negative all the time. They’re always gonna play the bad cop and they both are idiots.

Whatever happened to that charity boxing match? I got Charles in two.

Charles Barkley has been great on the NBA on TNT since returning to the show following his drinking and driving towards a bj incident. His insight has been on point for the most part, and he looks and sounds like he’s enjoying being on the set. A little too much.

Ernie Johnson was giving props to the show’s producer, Tim Kiely, causing Charles to let a five-letter word that references a cat, out of the bag. Skip to the :40 mark for Charles’ foul up.

Only Reggie Miller reacted to the joke. Somebody should’ve thrown a shirt at Charles Barkley instead of Ernie Johnson.

Charles Barkley said on TNT’s Inside the NBA Wednesday night that the only things a woman could beat him at are cooking and cleaning. Show camerawoman Cibelle (sp.) challenged Charles to a push-up contest, and proved him wrong.

I couldn’t tell if Barkley was doing push-ups or the centipede. And of course TNT and the NBA went with this condensed version of the video. They didn’t wanna show Chuck talking about his competitor’s cute ass like he does at the 3:22 mark in this video. Sexual harassment on live television? Well done Sir Charles.

Everybody knows that Charles Barkley likes to get out on the town, and now thanks to YouTube we can all see Sir Charles pounding Patron. The Chuckster is partying at the Harrah’s in Lake Tahoe with Ray Allen, Jerry Rice, and others, gettin’ his mack on, and showing he can still drink like a youngster.

I know what you’re thinking. Charles is out having a good time in a city that allows gambling when he’s said he’s not gonna gamble anymore. Don’t worry. Chuck says he’s sticking to it.
