University of South Carolina campus police have been targeting the school’s athletes according to a member of the USC board of trustees. Eddie Floyd has been a trustee for the University of South Carolina since 1982, and says he has reliable sources that told him of the campus police misconduct.

From TheState.com:

“I feel they have overstepped in some areas. After talking to some of the people, this is how I feel. And I always say what I feel, good or bad.”

“My feeling is that (targeting athletes) has happened. I’m sure the administration may have a different opinion. But certainly that’s what I think.”

Mike Mungo is the board’s longest serving trustee with 36 years of service, and he doesn’t think there’s anything to Eddie Floyd’s claims.

“I don’t think anyone has targeted (athletes) whatsoever. I think the allegations are totally baseless, and I think I’m as well-informed as anyone at the university.”

The campus police better keep an eye on Eddie Floyd and Mike Mungo. They sound like they could be coming to blows at any minute.

Since January 1 nine University of South Carolina student-athletes have been arrested. Six of those arrests were made by the campus police. I don’t know if that proves that the police are targeting athletes or that the athletes need to quit getting into trouble on campus.

February 29th is just another day to me. I don’t buy any of the Leap Year superstitions, and I don’t do anything special for our extra day. I am, however, amazed that a bunch of goofballs in tights could figure out that the Earth circles the sun in 365 1/4 days.

Since the Leap Year is every 4 years, people with a birthday on February 29th get shortchanged.. And I’ve always wondered how they decided which day to celebrate their birthday in a non Leap Year. Do they have to pick February 28th or March 1st or can they go with the closest weekend? I would want the closest weekend.

Here’s a Tiger commercial, which according to this article, is not the one that will be running. The official commercial shows Tiger lacing up his shoes and whistling “Eye of the Tiger”. He’s sticking with the “No living man shall tell me shit” theme in this ad:
