Adrian Peterson is the NFL’s best running back regardless of what LaDainian Tomlinson has to say. He has the speed to take it all the way on any play, and he has the power to run through defenders as William Gay of the Pittsburgh Steelers found out.

Not only did Peterson run over the defender, he stepped on him to further the embarrassment. In Gay’s defense, he’s Gay.. I mean he’s William Gay the defensive back. Asking him to bring down Adrian Peterson one-on-one is asking too much. All Day took on a smaller man but it brought back he brought back visions of Earl Campbell.

Jim Brown recently said Adrian Peterson was the best running back in the NFL, inspiring Ladainian Tomlinson to proclaim that he’s still the top dog. No matter what LT thinks, advertisers have hopped on the All Day bandwagon. Purple Jesus appears in a new Nike commercial, “Alter Ego”, which could double as a short film.

So if I buy those shoes I’ll turn into a lizard? I’m sold.

Adrian Peterson took the first handoff of the game 75 yards for a touchdown to prove the Minnesota Vikings did the right thing by bringing in Brett Favre. It’s only a preseason game, and Peterson did all of the work, but there’s some sorta law or ordinance that says you have to praise Brett Favre whenever possible.

Green Bay Packers cornerback Al Harris got run over by Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football. Purple Jesus admits he was looking to punish Harris because the Packers corner laid the hit that sidelined Peterson last year.

Adrian Peterson is a bad man. Al Harris probably didn’t want to go low and risk hurting Peterson’s knee again so he chose the alternative.. Getting run over.

WBAY sports director Chris Roth caught up with Al at practice and asked if his teammates gave him a hard time about the play.

“No, I mean we are talking about tackling,” Harris said.

“Did you forget you are supposed to go low?” Roth asked.

“No, the object is to get him out of bounds or down on the ground.”

“Which you did.”

“Yes.”

“We are talking about tackling, right?” Roth asked.

“No, you are the only one talking about tackling, from the corners.”

Al Harris did get Adrian Peterson out of bounds.. After being slammed to the tundra. Harris trying to spin it like this means deep down he knows he got broke off on national tv. My money’s on Adrian Peterson in the rubber match November 9 in Minnesota.

This time around Kool-Aid Lite Vitamin Water rounded up Brian Urlacher, 50 Cent, Carrie Underwood, and Adrian Peterson at the Ironbound Recreation Center in New Jersey to do some boxing and possibly some sort of water related sport. When they weren’t filming the ad, 50 Cent used his free time to hit on Carrie Underwood.

50 was trying to put his bid in but it’s probably Urlacher that Underwood should look out for. As Young Lifestyle points out, #54 has a thing for blondes(Paris Hilton and Tara Reid), and he’s got plenty of time on his hands.

When Vitamin Water isn’t adding a few zeros to David Wright’s bank account they’re rolling out tight commercials. My favorite is Tracy McGrady tossing the sheep, and coming in a close second is Urlacher and Big Papi playing badminton.

Vitamin Water’s latest ad features stars from MLB (David Ortiz), the NFL (Brian Urlacher and Adrian Peterson), and the NBA (Dwight Howard). Rapper 50 Cent appears alongside the athletes but I’m not sure why. It could be 50’s amateur boxing history, or it could be because Curtis was linked to performance enhancing drugs… Either way, it looks like the astronaut theme is big with athletes this year.
