Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me) produces a television show called 30 Days in which a person spends 30 days “immersing themselves in a particular lifestyle with which they are unfamiliar while discussing related social issues”. The first two seasons of the show have featured living conditions such as Binge Drinking Mom, Abortion, and Straight Man in a Gay World.

Season three begins June 3 with Spurlock working in a coal mine and living with a family in West Virginia. The following week will feature former NFLer Ray Crockett living life in a wheelchair.

Ray Crockett, who spent part of his NFL career wearing No. 39 for the Chiefs, is the focus of the June 10 episode of “30 Days,” the Morgan Spurlock “see how the other half lives” show on FX. Crockett spent 30 days in a wheelchair.

I don’t know if this is what Ray Crockett had in mind when he graduated from the Craig James School of Broadcasting, but a man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do when he hangs up his cleats. Crockett’s 30 Days episode marks his second foray into the world of reality television. Who can forget his memorable appearances on ESPN’s Bound for Glory with Dick Butkus? Better yet, who remembers?
