Carlos Zambrano Rehabs With Softball Team, Strikes Out

The Chicago Bandits fastpitch softball team had “Carlos Zambrano Day” on June 26, the same day the Bandits were taking on the Venezuelan Olympic softball team. Zambrano was free to be honored because he was doing a two week stint on the disabled list. Things started out all right for Big Z, but when the Venezuelans made a pitching change (around 1:20) it was lights out. Carlos tried switching sides and a different bat, but he couldn’t catch up to the softballs.

Here’s part of an interview Big Z did just before stepping into the batter’s box.
