Cal’s outstanding running back Jahvid Best was injured Saturday after he leapt into the end zone to score a touchdown and landed on his head and back. Best flipped over Oregon State safety Cameron Collins before crashing to the ground. Medical staff moved Best from the field by cart and he was taken to a hospital for observation. Jahvid was suffering from a mild-concussion before the game but as you can see in the video that’s the least of his concerns now.
Hopefully this is like a NASCAR crash and it looks worse than it really was. I’ll update as more information becomes available.
