Mark McGwire admitted on Monday what everyone’s known for years: He used steroids. And andro. And HGH. And probably anything else he thought would make him buff and load of cash.

Big Mac sat down with Bob Costas to talk about the steroid use and said that he, like all the other guys, used steroids to help him recover. He also says he didn’t come out before now (like when he was in front of Congress) because he didn’t want his family to catch flack for any of his problems. In the video below he tells Bob Costas when he first used steroids:

Mark had to say something since he’s back in baseball as the St. Louis Cardinals hitting coach. It’s good that he came clean but throughout the entire interview he says steroids didn’t help him put up numbers. He’s either lying or mistaken. My money’s on lying seeing that it took him this long to admit to using steroids and HGH.
