Most people think senior year of college is a pain in the ass. You gotta start planning what you’re gonna do with your life.. Are you gonna try to join the rat race, or are you gonna pursue a higher degree? And of course, how the hell are you gonna pay back your student loans? Andrew Shisila and Brent DeCoster at Ohio University thought they had a loan repayment plan. From The Athens Messenger:

Andrew Shisila, 22, and Brent DeCoster, 22, both of 27 N. Court St., Athens, were charged with a first-degree misdemeanor count of gambling, Athens Law Director Patrick Lang announced.

Shisila is a pitcher for the Ohio baseball team. DeCoster is a former Bobcat baseball player who was last a part of the program his freshman year in 2005-06. Both are current Ohio students and listed as seniors.

TAM goes on to report the gambling wasn’t on OU baseball games, or any intercollegiate sports.. These two were simply running a sportsbook for some teammates and friends.. And they would have gotten away with it if not for an anonymous email tip.. Sounds like somebody didn’t want to pay up.
