Mason Betha once said he could have succeeded at being a NBA player. There seems to be a Mason in the NBA who probably could achieve the same success in the rap game. Desmond Mason a Foward on the New Orleans Hornets is that Mason. As seen on this YouTube clip he spits heat about his team and his teammates. ”One Player You Dont Wanna Get It Poppin’ With/The long range flame thrower Stojakovic” Maybe he comes off because he’s rapping about something he actually knows about (ie 1/2 of these rappers who couldnt sell a dollar for 50 cents but claim to have sold more keys than a locksmith) or maybe he is a fairly skilled MC. Either way, I’d say he might be the best athlete aspiring MC I’ve heard so far. Of course there was Deion Sanders “Must Be The Money” or Roy Jones Jr. ”Yall Musta Forgot” musical masterpieces, so its not like he has had a lot of stiff competition.
