The Washington Redskins are a disaster on and off the field. The team’s condition has brought Hall of Famers John Riggins and Joe Theisman to exchange words. Since they’re in ‘Wait ’til next year’ mode the Skins have nothing left to do but quit on their coach and start sideline brawls.
The quitting on the coach is already in progress from management and player standpoints. The sideline fighting went into effect after LaRon Landry late hit Falcons QB Matt Ryan out-of-bounds. Pushing and shoving followed with Ryan calmly pulling Landry away from the situation.. He should have grabbed DeAngelo Hall. The former Falcon got into with Atlanta head coach Mike Smith and then Albert Haynesworth mixed in for some reason.
DeAngelo Hall, Albert Haynesworth, and possibly Mike Smith for what looks like a punch thrown can expect to get fines from the Commish. Tommie Harris threw a clear punch at Deuce Liutu but DeAngelo Hall is the bigger asshole.

Why would you say that DeAngelo Hall is the bigger asshole? From the look of the video he was just trying to pull Landry out, and then got hemmed in by the rest of the Falcons, who were understandably upset about the hit. Hard to blame Hall in this, it seems to me. Certainly not worse than randomly hitting a guy lying down on the field waay after the play is over.

If anyone really thinks Deangelo was innocent in all of this you’re either truly blind or a Redskin fan simply refusing to see the truth about the thug. Yes Fish grabbed him but watch the video again. Deangelo is clearly shoving at 51 (Tony Gilbert I think) BEFORE Fish grabs him. Deangelo had no reason to be on the sideline, Landry and Ryan had already left the area and seemed to have “made up.”
I see no swing by Mike Smith, I see him pull his body back and arms come up and BACK. Seriously do you people think he trying to elbow Hall in the helmet?!? To what end? Trying to break his own elbow?
Simply stated if Deangelo hadn’t come over looking for trouble the whole thing wouldn’t have happened. Deangelo provoked and now cries foul. That is how he is the bigger asshole.
Don’t get me wrong, it was handled somewhat poorly but Deangelo is turning a minor scuffle where no punches were even thrown into some huge wrong done to him. He is a worthless thug and was certainly on the Atl sideline for more than protection of a teammate.

You’re kidding me, right? “if Deangelo hadn’t come over looking for trouble”??? Watch the video–he came over the sideline while slowing up from his run during the play. Look at 0:08 in the video–the guy standing up is Hall. There’s no way he reacts fast enough to be there just to make trouble. Then look at 0:12, upper left corner, Hall is pushing Landry behind him, keeping himself between Landry (who is an IDIOT for this hit, by the way) and the Falcons sideline. Also in 0:12 (I’m spamming the play/pause button), you can see the guy in white (I don’t think it’s Fish–Fish came later) has both hands grabbing Hall’s jersey right at the top of the numbers. By 0:13, Ryan is walking Landry away, but Hall is now surrounded because Mike Smith has come in behind him. By 0:14, Hall is completely surrounded by Falcons players. At 0:21 through 0:22, there is what certainly LOOKS like an elbow from Smith, he’s got a follow-through, and Hall’s helmet snaps back. Later in the video, alternative angle, look at the transfer between 1:04 and 1:05, you can see Hall’s left arm shoving Landry back, as Mike Smith is coming in behind him. Throughout 1:05-1:06, you can see Hall trying to lean back, and being held by his Jersey by whoever the bald white guy is and then being PULLED forward towards the Falcons bench. Then, look at 1:14 through 1:15, spam the pause button, and tell me you don’t see an elbow thrown. The angle’s pretty definitive, actually. Look, God knows I’m not a fan of DeAngelo Hall–massively overpaid, massively underperforming, the next thing to T.O. I can think of. But in this instance, he was wronged, and you claiming that I’m somehow truly blind or a Redskins fan refusing to ’see the truth’ because I bothered to actually go over the video is pretty weak.

Sorry but I don’t see that at all. After watching this a few times, I see Hall follow the play to the sideline. #51 shoves him, then Halls is trying to get to him. It seems the bald guy is clearly pushing Hall back and he is mouthing off to #51 falcons. It even looks like the bald guys is shaking his head and says NO! and he’s pushing him. As far as the “elbow” watch 1:14-1:16 you can clearly see Hall push Smith’s hand off him and as his arm bends back it looks like an elbow, watch Halls left arm at 1:15. I don’t care for either team, but from what I can see, Hall put himself in the middle of something that didn’t even involve him, then ran his mouth. and got shoved around a lil and didn’t even get fined.
