AN ALBANIAN TRAGEDY

Every sports fan has uttered the phrase “If we lose I’m gonna….”. I almost broke my tv behind a David Akers missed field goal. That was nothing. A pissed off soccer fan in Albania took things to the next level.
Vilson Alushi had vowed to burn his fish-delivery van if Albania failed to win a point against the Netherlands on Wednesday. Dutch striker Ruud van Nistelrooy put paid to his hopes with a goal in injury time to end the game 1-0.
Alushi duly doused his car with gasoline in the centre of the southern town of Delvine and watched indifferently as his friends alerted the firefighters.
Vilson is bout it… But the worst part of the story took place when the firefighters showed up to put out the blaze.. There was no water in the truck. Some of the folks living near the fire station had emptied the tank to help deal with a water shortage.
